Anyone hearing any news or rumours about Spain allowing us Brits back in post July 1st? With/without quarantine? We’ve got Portsmouth-Santander booked for the 14th July and keeping everything crossed we will be allowed in!!!! The suspense is killing me ?
The news today seems to suggest that Spain is playing chicken with the UK and vice versa re quarantine. Along with France. Logic would suggest that this should be sorted by the time you leave with face saving air bridges but I am increasingly at a loss as to what our government is doing or thinking. Perhaps they are at a loss as well!

Yes agreed on all fronts. Just grinds my gears that these political games could get in the way of my boating this year!!!!
We are planning on going for a month so, worst case, even with a quarantine in place in Spain we would still do it (I’d happily sit on my boat for the first 2 weeks in the marina if I had to)....we just have to be let into the country in the first place!!!
And I cannot see the 14day quarantine back in the UK as being much of a challenge.......

It’s a pay to view article and the free bit didn’t mention quarantine. Can you fill us in on the rest of the article
Basically no more attestation, UK only will need to voluntarily quarantine for 14 days till UK drops theirs. Open for European countries plus UK. Travel from outside Europe not yet allowed.

France open from Monday, reciprocal 14 day quarantine of course.

France opens to visitors from Europe from Monday
We are going round in circles ..... :) see my post 828 page 42 .
Have already established a grand opening orchestrated from Brussels ( aka Macron / Merkel ) ) in an attempt to show EU solidarity or try to re establish , pull together after the fragmented C19 individual policy........every state doing a “ stuff you mate “ @ the borders .
One or two are “ you know what we rather like control of our borders again “ .

Merkels bent Macron ear and told him not to get arsey with the Brits over the fishing thing .
Otherwise its daft if Fr and D + the majority treat us differently for people movement .......They can,t show a D and Fr split as the leaders of the euro club to the remaining minnows .

Thankfully thats worked well ..Trying to drive a wedge twixt Fr + D ...as we seem to be having our cake and eating it .

Allowed access to the EU ( participating states ) on the 15 th removing the reluctance initially from Fr .
There designs on our fishing waters kicked into the long grass .

And the reason why the Fr have steered away from attempting treating us like a 3 rd party state ( technically we are we have left ) with access issues stopping us joining in the “grand 15 th opening up “.........we turn round and say

“ yep that’s right 3rd party , independent state that’s what we have been saying ..... we will take that Thx “
“ Oh show us another 3 p Indy state that does NOT control its own fishing waters “

Whoops !

More political bollox and conjecture. Surely better to stick to boating topic.
