Yep, santa ponsa is (nearly) always a safe bet - if santa ponsa is no good then palma nova will be ok and vice versa.

But regardless of that I dont have a giro - it would mean I'd have nowhere to store my fenders! my boat is the windy 25 nearest the camera - too small for giros
A few years ago, we had to stay in Mallorca for a week/10 days to meet the kids.
It was in the middle of August so rather than go into a marina and get "ripped off", we stayed on anchor.
The weather wasn't very good to us so we alternated between Santa Ponsa and Palmanova
Just as you say.
Good selection of restaurants in both places.

That's actually "spaghetti alle vongole", for sake of accuracy.
But most important, waddumean discovered?!? That's up there among the all time classics!
What were you used to eat in SoF? ?

The CdA grub doesn’t hold a candle to the food here .
Our Dutch berth broker handling the rental warned us .
Even the supermarket Rose @€1. 4 for L box tastes better .I thought the Fr invented the stuff ?
Unbelievable the on shore living here .

Glad that you like it.
Btw, when it comes to quality of life in Italy, as a rule of thumb it gets higher as the latitude gets lower.
So, with all due respect for Liguria, it only gets better from there! (y)

Anyone on here who has a mooring in andratx and there cost for a 16m ? Here as a visitor at the moment and paying €145 per night at the yacht club. Seems really cheap ?

Not a direct answer but I paid 35 euros for an 8m berth a few days ago.

The crowds here are growing, as is the R number
Wonder ( threads about the Med + Corvid remember) if the Balearics will last without another lockdown ?
It’s got two headwinds .
1- Airports to catch it .
2- N Eu ( in U.K. ) piss heads flocking in .....ignoring social distancing !

Recipe for R= +1 .......unfortunately.

Nothing to do with the formulites on here trying to boat btw ...they may be caught up in the collateral damage .

Its not too busy in majorca, looks like 75% of magaluf hotels are closed still when I drive through. No crowds on beaches etc.

Perfect pic P, is that Capo Sandalo in the distance?
Great memory! (y)
We spent here three days in a row. Always as flat as in the pic if not even more, which is rare.
Snorkeling aside, we also had three gorgeous sunsets, and a great view of comet Neowise!
In case you didn't hear about it, you can easily google it, but as I understand it is only visible from the N emisphere, sorry!
Heading back to CF this evening, though.
Some Mistral is on its way towards us...
