Its not too busy in majorca, looks like 75% of magaluf hotels are closed still when I drive through. No crowds on beaches etc.

Cala Dor has enough life to be interesting but the numbers are well down. Marina now mostly open. Town mostly shut.Beaches busier but still fine and majority of hotels closed but a few now opening

Around here (the southwest corner of mallorca) the boaty side of things seems just as busy as usual, there's a similar number of boats out and about as this time last year, the bars and restaurants in the marinas are a bit quieter than normal, but still reasonably busy . Its the tourist towns that are generally very very quiet with not much open.

Great memory! (y)
We spent here three days in a row. Always as flat as in the pic if not even more, which is rare.
Snorkeling aside, we also had three gorgeous sunsets, and a great view of comet Neowise!
In case you didn't hear about it, you can easily google it, but as I understand it is only visible from the N emisphere, sorry!
Heading back to CF this evening, though.
Some Mistral is on its way towards us...

Last time we rounded the cape with you was exactly twelve months ago at great speed in Lido Blu, it was an excellent trip.
Good to hear you are out and enjoying your season.
BTW, it’s way too cold here to be out after dark looking for comets, it would be a waste of a cosmic experience even if it was visible in our hemisphere;)

Any news from Bart?

All good at his end, AFAIK.
He just has several balls in the air at the moment, and not as much time to enjoy BA as he would like to.
We should catch up in Aug, according to his latest plans...

Anyone on here who has a mooring in andratx and there cost for a 16m ? Here as a visitor at the moment and paying €145 per night at the yacht club. Seems really cheap ?
I think you can also go on a mooring buoy that they run. Other side of harbour opposite Villa Italia. 60 Euro for my s58 and nice to be able to dive into the water in the am.

Glad that you like it.
Btw, when it comes to quality of life in Italy, as a rule of thumb it gets higher as the latitude gets lower.
So, with all due respect for Liguria, it only gets better from there! (y)
Plus 1 to that. Ponza, Ischia - amazing all around. just avoid Capri IMO. Heading to Sicily in a week, cannot wait.

A chum had specially bought himself some brand new leviathan monster of a Triumph motorcycle to ride down to Porto Petro next week, purely in order to avoid the Flu-Tube flight from Gatwick.
Bang went that idea !
He can now stay and enjoy the English summer with the rest of us.

It is indeed. Both sides. It's the Magma system from the US. They help dampen things down. Not bad here because I'm in 40 feet & the deeper they are the better.

Takes about 20 mins to rig both sides.
