The following day I saw that ACE has one as a tender. It was waiting around in BSM to pick someone up. A quick look on Google revealed that you can get one with twin 600 IPS! That would certain move quickly.

PS you may be pushing your luck posting a picture that big taken in French waters. I'm not sure of the details but the privacy laws are substantial. Someone might argue the people are recognisable in that picture. 640 pixels wide/airbrushing might be better

Nope, that photo is taken in French waters. The boat is wearing a MC ensign and no French courtesy flag, which is strictly incorrect I suppose but I'm not going to condemn them for that

Anyway, if it had been in MC waters, would you have wanted to have a discussion on MC privacy laws???!! They make French laws look light touch!

I just spec'd one on their website. Got to 1.1m euro pretty quickly. That said, I think €2430 for a VHF is a bit keen!!

I guess if you have to worry about that then it's not for you. Beautiful that's for sure.

Well, at least when it comes to sportboats, I think it's clear to most folks around here that I'm not exactly a traditionalist.
But in this case, count me in among those who don't agree.

PS: coming to think of it, I would dare also suggesting that the OP shouldn't be too worried about privacy laws, regardless of the relevant Country.

France have some of the strictest privacy laws(criminal offence in some instances) in western Europe and then they have Closer magazine, oh the irony

Here's just one possible reason/backstory: the guy (or girl) worked hard at school, worked hard at work, took some risk, made a lot of money, paid the tax of 100+ average citizens, likes the CdA and MC, and bought the boat because s/he just liked it and likes goofing around on the sea.

LOL, c'mon, I didn't use the tongue in cheeck emoticon for nothing!
But if we should try a somewhat serious debate on boaters purchasing motives, I'd rather see a buyer with the profile you describe to go for a Sq78 , or something similar anyway, if he/she goes for smaller (or bigger) stuff.
In fact, having said that in ANY pleasure boat there's a pose value component - though I'm sure you'll agree that this thing and my (or Silverdee's, just as another example) boat are somewhere at the opposite ends of a 1-100 scale - I'd rather bet that most typical J craft buyers are pretty far from your profile.
And frankly, I very much doubt that at J Craft they were targeting that type of prospect, when they designed the thing...
