Thinking of crossing the wash

Northern rivers Herbert Woods, Ferry marina Wayford marina, Richardson
Southern rivers, Good Childs, Brundall bay marina, Brooms, Bells
plus others no doubt on both rivers.

Thanks, the lorry I’m using has a crane on the back. I was hoping to utilise that to save money at the marina
Are they used to lifting boats? They will need spreader bars - boats can't withstand compressive forces at the gunwhale. And they need to be aware that a motorboat may well have much of its weight at one end, depending on where the engine is. Also, the lifting strops will need to avoid sterngear and any other through-hull equipment.

Genuinely not being cruel, but AP has a point...

Hi thank you, the same haulier had lifted my boat and placed it on hard standing previously.

Can anyone suggest why crane drivers seem to be so resistant to securing lifting strops fore and aft. They don't have to be lashed on tight, just enough to stop them slipping out. There are gazillions of similar vids on Youtube.

Also. Who would lift a load with 4 people on board?
