....didn't even have time not to panic!

I now have a 2 handed approach to throttle corrections and gear changes so you might want to keep clear for a bit until I can get it fixed.../forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Anyone got an old Quicksilver 3000 throttle/gear unit lying around so I can grab the bit I need to get going again or even swap the unit over...........someone must have 'upgraded' to a nice smart Morse unit sometime!

know that feeling happened to me on the way back from Alderney whilst throttling back to come off the top of a wave. Luckily for some reason I had an allen key set under the dash and fixed it very quickly.

Will hve a look for you Duncan can you put a pic up of the exct item you have or need.

ah - in this case it's the flanged nut holding the handle onto the splines of the main body. Funny nut with a hole through the middle where the plunger that enables you to use throttle without gears locates. Unless there is a trick to removing and replacing that plunger it looks like a complete strip to get the replacement nut on.....if there is a trick then it's a 2 minute job!
If you pm me your email I will send a line drawing I have made (unless the above is clear!!)
