I think a defaced red ensign cannot be worn by a vessel on professional or commercial business. Maybe that's the difference between when you saw her and all occasions when photographed for Marine Traffic@VicS ensign I saw a couple of weeks ago was definitely defaced. Just started me wondering...
She was definitely working the day I took that shot. It was a cruise from Custom House Quay in Greenock to the Kyles - and it was mobbed. It could be....It looks a bit like the registered historic ships version.
