More to the point these particular jet skiers are beached in the nature reserve and the increased use of the flat water behind the Horse Sand,in numbers riding abreast and at extreme speeds threatens the seals that take their pups away from the main group and onto the banks in this particular area.Three porpoise that passed close behind us sailing into the east channel recently were within minutes overdriven by a pair of skiers appearing from Whitstable.

I agree it might test the attention-span of the average jetskiier but it's hardly going to do them any harm, is it?
Our "rescue" society seems sometimes to have got a bit too advanced, methinks.
Maybe, but surely an O Level / Grade in Googling would have sufficed....
As for the reporting, I rather doubt Kent Online can afford many Pulitzer Prize winners. I'm sure the Daily Mail would have done better.
Having served on a CG Mud Rescue team for quite a few years I can assure any doubters that the mud in this area is quite deep enough in places to put lives at risk if they are daft enough to try and 'walk' ashore.
