So very sorry

Peter

That is dreadful news, we all know how much work you put into Shady. Nothing more to say.

Best regards

Robin

Again commiserations. Came through on the train from London to Penzance (tho never made it by train - Penzance flooded- so bussed in and missed flight to Tresco). The Exe looked awful at 3.00 and saw one boat break free then.
The Scillonian was surging back and forth earlier on the quay here and they were putting out extra lines to hold her. The local coastguard reckoned there was an additional 1.5 m due to the low pressure on top of a Spring 5m tide and a SE gale as well. Certainly dramatic on the sea front.
Do hope your boat rides this out.

I think you will find that all flights were cancelled so you misseds nothing. Hope you are comfortable.

Heard eyewitness reports of heavy spray going over the top of a 4 storey building on Penzance front around high water. Along the front in Falmouth Bay from Pendennis Road masses were watching the sea breaking over the wall along the front of the hotels.

Suspect the damage bill will be extensive but as not an Inner City or oop north will get no sympathy or help from this government.

Understand that wind S or SE 9-10 gusting 11 tonight!

All my sympathy. You must feel that your guts have been wrenched out. Hope your insurance was up to date.
