Was on Blue Fisher at lunch time in the docks, should have been low water but seemed much higher than yesterday, was obviously down to lower pressure and the strong easterlies blowing in. Looked out over Pole sands and it was very rough. White water everywhere but had no idea then that it would be so bad at high water.
Especially as you were leaving Shady in for some winter sailing. The wind & sea remind us every so often who's boss. Hope any damage is soon repairable. Let us know.
What a Bummer, Peter... I really don't know what to say.. Just hope it's not as bad as it could be and all ends well... Know it sounds trite but I'm thinking of you.
West Dorset aint too far so if I can help send a PM
Peter,
That's tough, at least nobody hurt and having seen other friends lose their pride and joy through a fire can understand that at present heartbreaking time. They now have nice new boat called 'Spirit of...', trust that soon you, too, will have the same.
Chris
Peter. Really sorry to hear the news. There really is nothing else to be said in these situations, except that I hope the insurance gets sorted without too much hassle and thank God that there was nobody on board. Steve.
<hr width=100% size=1>Think I'll draw some little rabbits on my head, from a distance they might be mistaken for hairs.
At least you are safe, your boat despite the emotional attachment through pleasure and hard work can be replaced or repaired. If you had been bashed up against the wall, well, the pain of loosing a loved one never leaves you. I wish you all the best.
