... well not quite the day after, but the next day I visited the boat after 'the storm'.

What a relief when I went down today... she was still there and all in one piece /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif without even a cover missing or loose halyard and the windex still in one piece at the masthead. I was expecting something to have been damaged after Thursday night in West Cornwall, but was very relieved. I knew that she was probably still all OK as the club hadn't telephoned to say otherwise. It was nice to see however that someone had checked my boat for me in my absence... they had doubled up on some of the mooring strops to prevent them from loosening - good job that fellow.

Anyway, how did the rest of you fair? There will obviously be some people that didn't come off aswell as me, but I hope that the majority of you are all OK.

When I checked our lines they were 'pinched' more than I'd noticed them being before where they went round the cleats. I shifted the worn looking sections along a bit, otherwise all OK. I often wonder if the marina chaps keep an eye on things when the wind is up, especially as we're exposed on a hammerhead.
