TCM trip updates

Sounds a bit like poor passage planning to me if at this stage of the trip he is wondering about bunkers!!!!! Surely this should all have been planned well before the trip.......or maybe it is a windup and he is sitting at home having a larf !!!!!!

Paul.

You don't have access to the website where Matt and crew along with weather forecasters etc did the planning, so you don't know the details. Lots of planning happened, but plans go astray for a variety of reasons.

Checking out prices of fuel for ports in which they were not planning on heading, is not the same as knowing where bunkers are- so please don't confuse the 2. I'm going to be asking for lots more help in next few days, and thought people might enjoy watching progress live. If people instead are going to get critical of every move or question, I simply won't bother

Is this epic trip going to be devalued into short little day-boating sessions - stopping each night on the pretext of refuelling either the boat or the crew, or both? I thought skipper and crew have been heralded as real seafarers - perhaps it was sea-fairers as they are now anchoring to avoid all waves /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Is there a passage plan Brendan and if so can you enlighten us as to what voyage is/was intended?

Touchy touchy........would have had a few contingencies up my sleeve just in case......ah well sorry to get your back up!! at least you have a nice high moving in over Biscay I would get moveing right now, I may pass you on the way!! if so I will wave

Paul.

There are and were contingencies. Part of the contingencies were NOT checking prices in EVERY port and marina between Solent and SoF, just aware of being where they were. Like I said, if people want to pick supposed holes when they are totally unaware of the planning, route etc etc, then I'll just stop posting

OK. Bbbbbbbbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

No, don't stop posting. If you keep us informed of progress and even better keep us furnished with a photo record. We will be able to judge how much truth is contained in the inevitable, after the event stories, that this crew will post on here. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I for one will enjoy watching Matt and crew's progress Brendan. Appreciate your involvement in supplying the tech know how. Make sure you also enjoy it too.

The crew liked the photo from JimG so much, that they have now set me the challenge of a pic of DII in each port they visit! <g>

Anyone got friends in Camaret!!!
