I changed the injectors on a kad32 and refitting i noticed that 2 of the banjos- that go through the fuel return rail into the injector-are different sizes. Two are drilled out to 3mm and the other two far smaller. More a high pressure banjo. The parts diagram for the engine has part number 74033 and i need 4 of them. This tells me they are all the same. Having had the boat from new we know they have never been swapped out although we did have a new head gasket a good 10 years ago so wondered if they were mixed up with some others in the fuel system but they can't have been as there isn't any others to mix up! I posed the question in a Volvo engine FB page but only had 1 response and this chap claimed they are all 3mm and the same..
I can't find the answer. If i ask AI Grok, ChatGPT or microsoft I get multiple different answers. I've asked mechanics and engineers who all give different answers re back pressure and placement. Did volvo fit them that way and what position or is it a mistake and i need to swap two out??????
I'm somewhat confused.....
