Tanki Online vs Call of War - A Comparison of the Two Popular Multiplayer War Games

One of the most popular types of online games free is the war game genre. They allow you to have the thrill of running a full-blown battle, but you neither have to actually spend huge sums for a real war nor do you have to actually kill anyone. And if the war games you are playing are multiplayer ones, then that is even better. You do not need to play against a mute machine. Tanki Online and Call of War are two of the most collection of hottest online games we can play right now for free out there. So, here is a detailed comparison of the two games.

Tanki Online – Story

I5WQbKA.jpg

This game has only one story.

As the name tells you, this game is all about war tanks. There are no airplanes to shoot down and no cavalry to be butchered. Tanks are the most solid and dependable elements of any army. Although they might be a bit ungainly in their movement, the damage they inflict is huge. This game has only one story. You have a tank, which you have to use to destroy your enemies. The enemy also has nothing but tanks, so it’s a very equal battle. Because it is multiplayer, you have both options available. You can either play one on one against a single opponent, or you can form teams and participate in death matches.

Call of War – Story

The game provides you with the option of building up your territory by running over neighboring regions.

Call of War has many more dimensions. It is more of a strategy game than a simple war game. You play this game as the sovereign of one of the superpowers of the post-WWII era. The game provides you with the option of building up your territory by running over neighboring regions. You can also carry out research into better weapons. Besides all of this, you need to also grow your country’s economy so that you can better fund your war efforts. This too is a multiplayer game, and it is a turn-based strategy game.

Tanki Online – Gameplay

The game gives you points for blowing up your enemy tanks.

This game is very simple in terms of a storyboard, but the gameplay makes it interesting. The movements of the tanks closely follow the laws of physics. You can play in the ‘Capture the Flag’ mode to play online games for couples, in which the flag is to be located and then captured. The other option is to form teams with other players and play the deathmatch. The game gives you points for blowing up your enemy tanks. But that’s not all; you can also push them off elevated surfaces. Additionally, you can get points for helping your team members or healing them. And of course, you get lots of points for finding the flag.

Call of War – Gameplay

The erstwhile Soviet Union is shown as being divided into smaller parts.

This game begins when the Second World War ends, but it also goes on to the Cold War Era and the period when the nuclear arms race was picking up steam. The countries depicted in this game are the usual suspects: there is the whole of North America, including Canada and Cuba, and the Middle East is there too, of course. The North African desert plays a prominent role. The erstwhile Soviet Union is shown as being divided into smaller parts. Conversely, some of the smaller European nations have been merged into bigger entities. You start off the game with 20 core provinces, which are all employment and income generating.

Tanki Online – Features

You start off this game as a new recruit, and you can keep improving your ranks until you become marshall. You have a choice of several armors for your tanks. You can also choose the weapons your tank will carry. As you make more kills and improve your ranks, you unlock more supplies. These could be new coats, armors, or even supplies for your men. The game uses a fictional currency, called crystals, and you get more crystals with improved rankings. You can buy the stuff mentioned above with these crystals. There are a large number of game modes you can choose from.

Call of War – Features

You are dealing with a number of battle units in this game. Some of them are infantry, vehicles, aircraft, naval units, and of course, secret weapons. The secret weapons in this game are rockets, anti-rocket guns, long-range artillery, and highly skilled commando units. You also get to use atomic bombers and rockets, and the battleships are nuclear powered. You need to keep investing in research to make these units more and more effective. One thing you will find interesting is the pairing of units with certain tasks. So, if you have a good anti-tank gun, it is a good defense, but your commandos are better at attacking.

Tanki Online – Cons

The moderator’s role in this game has also been questioned.

Although the tanks are programmed to be very realistic, this game could become monotonous after a while. This is because there is nothing else beyond tanks in this game. Some players complain that when they are playing as a team, all players do not contribute actively. The moderator’s role in this game has also been questioned. Additionally, it’s been pointed out that the exchange rates of crystals and the value of the rewards are skewed in favor of certain countries. You need to be very careful when you start playing Tanki Online.

Call of War – Cons

DibD3iV.jpg

The maps of the countries as depicted in the game might be different from the actual countries.

While the predictive deployment we mentioned above is a good feature, it can take some getting used to. The maps of the countries as depicted in the game might be different from the actual countries. We also found the graphics of this game a little too simplistic.

Conclusion:

As we play free online games, we found both interesting in their own way. But if asked to pick one, we would go for Call of War. It is a game with much richer features. Tanki Online can easily seem too one-dimensional after a while. Additionally, we heard too many accusations from fellow players that Tanki Online might not be totally fair and neutral. We recommend that Call of War is a much better use of your time and money if you plan to use their ‘gold’ currency instead of playing the real-time strategy game.

Yours isn’t done yet I was looking at it yesterday ,I could only see empty Malbec bottle

I'm stuck. Apparently I have to take the engines out to remove the trim rams. Only my neighbours are 4 feet away and there is no room to get a crane in to lift the engines out till they move in April. Why the design requires you to remove the engines to remove trim rams is beyond me. I'm struggling to believe this.

Is there none you can bolt on the back and do away with your original ones

take the caps off and replace the seals ?

Bruce, that's my understanding too. IIRCE, the ends of the rams can corrode (particularly if not trimmed right in when leaving the boat) and ultimately they need replacing. The end caps are on the inside of the transom and often need heat to remove them, which if course is impossible with the engines in place. I think mine are DP-E drives. What's frustrating is that we never adjust the drive trims (other than beaching in an emergency).

Having switched from Volvo DP to Mercruiser Bravo3 drives a few years ago, and having had several Alpha drives over the years, my experience so far has been that the Mercs were far more reliable and much easier to work on.

Although I can replace the end caps they have corroded very badly i.e. the C spanner holes are now worthless and it would probably need drilling, cutting, then collapsing the end cap to get it out. No professional wants to undertake the job because of the risk to damaging the cylinder even though I tell them it makes no odds, that I'd have to replace them if they didn't do the job anyway.
That leaves me thinking that this is probably then a job I shouldn't willingly undertake myself.

Has anybody successfully collapsed an endcap using this method? DP-D with 3860881 rams

Had the same issue on a Sunseeker Martinique 38. The ram pins are supposed to come out use a grease hammer tool from volvo. On older boats they are corroded. My engineer at the time undid the engines from the transom and moved them forward a few inches in the engine bay using some wooden blocks. Then took of the shields and took them back to the workshop so sort out the rams. No cranes or machinery need. Might have used a small car jack. Can't remember Small guy nearing retirement at the time. I was quite impressed at the time. Just brains, leverage and limited muscle. I think he undid the engine supports and placed wooden blocks at the same height. supported the bell housing and slid the whole thing forward.

Might be worth trying to soak feed the pins penetrating oil for a week to see if they can be removed the normal way.

End caps - Drill out the removal holes to about 5mm and use a removal tool with bigger pins.
Then get new piston rods made from S/S (I have a drawing if necessary)
Diss-assemble old parts (beware the little springs and balls) and re-assemble with new seals and rods
No big deal

tnx Tico, any idea how deep one can go with the new holes ?
and a removal tool can be bought, or DIY ?

this

dunno what it costs, but as i can't make one myself and would be paying some one to make similar, might be worth it
how does that clamp onto the rod without causing damage ?

i have used a removal tool imported from the USA with small studs, this slips out of the holes despite my best efforts to keep it aligned
or is there a better way to keep it engaged whilst putting some torque on the end cap ?

I think we do it for a combination of reasons... but for me it is the satisfaction of doing something real rather than the paper pushing work I have spent most of my life doing.
