Finally got my Oct issue of MBY and the article on the T60. I must say it seems to break new ground on accomodation etc, only downside seems to be the lack of steps from cabin to fly. Did anyone get on board at SIBS?

Yep, I had a good look around although didn't do the flybridge. Just a totally dream boat. Lovely Main and 1st guest cabin, The second guest cabin looks like its aimed at kids (maybe it is!) but for adults would be nice to have the guest cabins similar in that size of boat.
If you have that level of cash it seems good value for the size.

Yes, had to book but was well worth it, if I had £1m would defo buy. Great boat and everthing was where you would want it. The only thing I didnt like was the coffee coloured cushions on the flybridge but I am sure they come in white too.

Just need to save another £750k then I can order mine!!!!

Check the web-site, www.sealine.com, they have pictures.

Currently classed as the quietest craft of its size on the water. Sealine have used extensive amounts of Thinsulate to make sure the noise levels from engine and water are reduced as much as possible.

No I havent been on it yet but I am sure to in the next 6 months.

Sorry to sound like a party pooper, but I thought that it was a total let down and a real disappointment. I love Sealines, great boats, got one, love it, am probably in the "what boat next" frame of mind at the moment, but would I buy a T60? not a chance.

The decor, sorry "interior design" colours are terrible, the table and chairs in the dining area are a joke, cramped and inpractical. There is no lazarette if you have the crew cabin. A massive salon is wasted by trying to fit a circle of seats in a rectangular space. And on & on. The immense fixed plasma TV is straight in front of the dinette to salon steps, so god help one in a rough sea if you lose your footing. In the galley the taps are a nightnmare of technology gone mad and I am not getting on my hands and knees to load any dishwasher anywhere.

I like the clever way Sealine use space normally, better than any other manufacturer, there are glimpses of this all over, the conversion of the 3rd cabin twin beds to a double is a triumph, but there are far too many other "decor" faux pas to interest me.

Also look at the quality, as some one mentioned, beige seats, surrounded by white silicone, experience tells me not "high modulus" silicone, so will crack and fade. For the thick end of a mill, a Squaddie 58 has a far superior flybridge and quality, a basic Sunseeker 66 a far better salon/dinette + quality and then there is Princess, can't tell you about them, never able to get past sales people. Also if you look at other boats in range they seem to be slowly hiking prices up to either meet or indeed outstrip the competition. For example, S48 against Princess, Fairline, Sunseeker equivalents in the brochure and the MBM Buyers guide is something like 60k more?? And no deals at the moment, from Swanwick anyway.

As I say I have a phenomenol soft spot for Sealines but I just feel theyv'e completely lost the plot recently, perhaps its Brunswicks presence?? All IMHO of course.

Oh I am pleased as I thought it was just me.

Agree on the issues you raise - For the money the P61 or P67 look better value to me.

I have said before I really thought the cafe style seating when entering the saloon looked very IKEA....

(ducks / helmet on and withdraws!...)

Re: Oi......

Went on board it at the show.

To my mind it felt like a much cheaper boat built to a much larger scale, as opposed to say a Sunseeker where going on a small boat gives you the feeling of a much more expensive boat scaled down. Take an F34 and make it bigger, but not better.

Just one example, there were overhead lockers above the cockpit in the underside of the flybridge overhang secured with the same catches they use on the cheaper boats (and presumably built to the same kind of thickness) but because the panels were longer the whole thing was bowing downwards slightly...

Also, it looked to my eyes too much like they'd dragged out the drawings of the Sealine F34 and scaled it up.

The whole "cheaper boat scaled up" thing would be ok if the price reflected that, but whilst you might buy a 40ft Sealine against a 40ft Fairline, would you do the same at 60ft, especially when you're not saving anything?

VW Phaeton springs to mind I'm afraid...

Sealine do excellent and competitavely priced small boats (S23 is terrific, S28 etc), but the standard of finish in a S23 is not what you expect as you close in on a seven figure budget...

Totally agree with Planty and mjf, as a Sealine owner I wanted so much for it to be a Show stopper , but so many design faux pas , expected the Muppetts to appear from behind the Bedhead curtains in the Master suite!! Was the Radar arch an after thought ?
Sealine Designers go and look at the Pearl 55 for an excellent example of how to create a breathtaking interior.

Re: Oi......

They have a "special locking mechanism", which is actually, two 22mm pipe clips bolted back to back that snaps onto the legs of the chairs thus making a circle around the table. All I could think of was that if you disengaged one chair out of "The ring of Chairs", in a slightly choppy sea, it could be great fun watching the other 5 doing a conga around that black dinette floor, all on their own!

Oh, what a shame I so wanted to love this boat!!!
