I mentioned on another thread a couple of weeks ago that I was having a problem with a paddle board which I bought from SVB24.com. When I contacted SVB they said they would send a label for return – with DHL, I think. Anyway, it turned out their carrier arrangement doesn’t include Türkiye, so they asked me to arrange return and they would refund the cost. I got prices from UPS and DHL and the latter were cheapest at €225 for 10/14 day delivery to Germany. This got me thinking about how they would send me a replacement/repaired board and the conclusion was I would have to pay tax and possibly excise on importation and probably engage a customs agent. I made this known to SVB and the said they would consult to manufacturer in South Korea based on the photos I sent. Today I contacted SVB again to ask about progress and expressing my dissatisfaction about how long it was taking. They replied saying they hadn’t heard back yet, but enclosing a credit note for the full cost. My cc will be refunded.
