Sunsail boat holed

It does look thin. Boats today are subject to "Portion Control" Was it Colin Chapman who said "It takes an engineer to design something which will just do the job.
This boat does what it is supposed to do. It floats. Its not supposed to hit things. Hence the weakness.

I believe she collided with this one, from what I read on a friends facebook

So all in all looking at the mast it was not really Sunsails day was it!

You serious Elessar? I just don't see that. I've never had such a problem with a bowline ever in my life and I don't expect to!
(Admittedly the one in the picture isn't the world's neatest, but it is I think a correctly threaded bowline)
YES - it can shake loose, I was fitting my cover over the 4x2 I'd rigged up in lieu of the boom and had tied a line to the eyelet on one corner with a bowline and then tried to tighten but as it was a bit windy it did flog a bit. I climbed up the ladder to tighten the line and it jammed so I got hold of the line and tugged with both hands and promptly fell off the ladder! Fortunately without any damage apart from a bruise on my hip.
Incidently, I also found round turn and two half hitches also came loose when windy.....?

Yes, as I have no Idea where to look for it what is scuttlebutt? So maybe help rather than arrogance would have been more helpful, but then again maybe not in your case :encouragement:
