Easy pizzas

LONDON (Reuters) - Easyjet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou is branching out into the food business, applying the now-familiar no-frills principles to making pizza.

His EasyPizza chain opens its first franchise on Friday in Milton Keynes offering pizzas from 3.50 pounds each.

But to get the best prices, and avoid a delivery charge of up to five pounds per order, customers will have to order in advance, when business is slow and order online -- in line with other products of the Haji-Ioannou empire.

Anyone who doesn't like onions or wants extra pepperoni will be out of luck. EasyPizza won't take special offers, sticking instead to its range of 10 pizzas and side dishes.

Gotta be a good thing if they taste any good - pizza must be the most over-priced fast food on the market, 15 quid for glorified cheese on toast! Can't see how ordering in advance will help though - you've either got the munchies or you haven't.

By the time the little moped with box on the back gets to you the pizza may be a little tired.

Bit pricey! There is a pizza war going on near where I live and they are £1.99 for any pizza, with buy one, get one free. I can also get fish n chips, pie n chips, and pretty much anything else and chips from any of the local chippies for 99p. Sounds cheap, but don't forget to add on the coronary care specialist at £300 an hour.
