Into third year of stackpacking but still having aft end of the sail flopping over the boom when lowering sail.

Fully battened main, 3/4 rig so lots of sail main to deal with. 26' boat.

Any suggestions ?

How far back down the stack pack do your lines attach?

A pic would be good.
Apologies for not providing a pic. Will not be down to the boat this weekend.

The stack pack lines positions look about right when looking at other boats.

Wondering if its possible to add a fourth position close to the end of the boom.

Make sure you're fully head to wind and drop the sail under control.

If you flake the halyard and just trip the clutch it is likely to come down in a big flop.

Was the stackpack made by a third party sailmaker ,if so maybe ask their advice . Normally the issue is reefing lines flopping over pack into cockpit not the sail itself . Are the lines tight to stack pack? Do the sides standup when pack empty? Boat type if no pictures ?
