SQUARE SAIL

Hi there

I currently sail a 60 ft. replica danish cutter, which will take part in the Cutty Sark 2002 race.

Looking for anybody who has photographs or drawings on scandinavian square rigged cargo and fishing boats, that were using triangular sails on the yard arm instead of a square sail.

From my experience with the square sail this solution could improve the sail efficiency dramatically.

You need a copy of "Deep water Cruising" by EG Martin, who owned Jolie Brise and crossed the Atlantic in her under a square sail rig rather like this.
