Has anyone chartered a huge Fairline Squadron 55 in the med recently? Or perhaps had a free trip on 30+ metre sailboat? What's it like?

Axshully not been a good summer on that front. S55 didn't happen, a personal tragedy matter got in the way (don't worry, no-one's died, nor has jfm been fired, but that's enuf detail for forum). And jfm STILL awaiting invite to 34m sloop in Antibes, has been discussed much and owner owes me becuz he came out on Solent in our tiny Fairline, but so far we have not been able to find a weekend when it isn't on charter or we're both free. I promise a full report will be posted here, er one day
So, all in all, totally crap.
I did however enter the "where's the pic taken from" on MBY homepage last week, it was stunningly difficult, West Cowes DOH, and just got a bottle of that whisky from ipc, so that's not so bad.

Sorry to hear of probs.
We had to hand over ours at end august, so nice fortnight hol with lots of not washing boat or fixing anything. I took the delaer around at the end. See the depth? That mostly works. But I've nicked the chips from the chartplotter, the horns knacked so i took it off and use a air blaster, um ooh the radar works too. But not the saloon aircon or the passarelle sometimes, or the speed, or the rudder indicator.
Anyway, we're all going underground hereabouts. The secretive Molin Caslen is getting a new boat sort of maybe, esp since he saw Dave S's boat. Possibly. Or at least, the carpet replacing is orf.
Now back, reading the special - "Is Matt S Stupid or What?" October iss MBY.
I really think I should have won the comp. Doesn't it say "where was the our man?" or such? So he wasn't where the picture was, was he? No, the correct answer is "just behind the camera".
