100% agree DAW. Messrs Buffet and Munger (RIP) were in any case criticising EBITDA only as a measure of profit, not of cash flow and they explicitly approved of the "A," disliking only the "D" - (worth listening carefully). EBITDA remains a very useful measure, and those criticising should realise it is merely one tool not a religion, and most users of it fully understand its limitations. Additionally Buffet/Munger were as usual putting on some theatre too, so they gotta talk like this .
