Newbie needs advice on the best products and methods to restore the shine to the fibreglass of a Bayliner Trophy. It appears dull and flat.

Agree with Pauline. Use a marine product, don't be tempted by cheaper car products as they contain silicon which GRP doesn't like apparently

Is it chalky? ie when you wipe your finger along your hull does your finger tip become white?

3M Fibreglass restorer and wax - all-in-one product. Very good if your boat is not too badly "chalking."
