Just noticed some very fine spots of mould and would welcome advice on best way to remove them ?

Is it just a case of a good scrub or is something more fancy required

Not sure it will help but I recently tried many different products to remove mould (mildew) from our canopy. I tried scrubbing which caused some damage. At the boatshow I was convinced to buy some starbright mould remover. Itworked a treat smelt like a weak bleech but a fine spary and left for about 10 mins then washed off with fresh water. (no connection with them)

DO NOT use BLEACH (Sodium Hypochlorite) on KEVLAR® or NYLON, EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!! This is one of the few known, proven solvents for these fibres. We have seen people poke their fingers easily through spinnakers rinsed in chlorine-treated (same as bleach) swimming pools.

Should I be worried about my trunks when swimming in a chlorinated swimming-pool?

Biotex washing powder worked well on my main, as suggested on the kemp sails website.

I'd not heard of it before - the wife had!!, but it's available in pretty much all supermarkets.
