Seriously though djefabs and I gave up taking our own pics once we had seen the results that Rick was getting. The ones I did actually take were not a patch on Ricks.

Likewise; I think I only took about a dozen across the whole week in the end. Rick's photos are consistently brilliant.

Cheers

I can see why, you took one picture of Rick for identification purposes and missed! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Funny how old posts pop up!!

I thought we did a write up on the return to Spain but cant find one and I dont remember writing anything.
Were there any incidents en route? - I cant remember - Yea Right!!

I did find these two though -
The planning of the trip

and the trip to Malta itself reported live on YBW forums as it happened.

This forum is really something - friends we've never met helping us on our way.

Anyway, from me, SWMBO and Jennywren a really BIG thanks to all our forum friends who helped our dream of getting a boat from the UK to Malta on her own bottom.

It was, truely, an adventure of a lifetime.

Old post or not, it brought back lots of memories. When I was in Sidi Bou Said a few years back, we had no need to give any baksheesh. Maybe times have changed. You did right to skip Pantelleria - it's a dump! Thanks for an excellent post.

Thanks Rick - fab post and excellent write up

Have to agree on nice clear water - its treat to see your own anchor. One thing I used to enjoy doing was sitting in 10m or so of water with a scuba tank on my back and just looking up at the bottom of the boat. Nice way to cool off!

Tks again for the time in putting this together for us
