Hi
I am looking for someone that can sail my boat down from Brightlingsea to Gillingham Marina. I have been let down at least 4 times this year. Twice the year before by the same person. I have the boat ready to go. Everything is sound, sails, engine. All the kit is onboard GPS depth sounder lift jackets charts ect. I would sail it down myself but I am so busy with work finding the time is almost imposible. My boat is a Colvic Salty Dog 26ft fin keel. Sails very well.
Regards
Ray

Hey Ray!

Your previous posts suggested the engine was knackered, have you fixed it?

Curious as to what happened to the other boat you needed shifting from Brightlingsea to Portsmouth a couple of years ago?

Hope it goes well.

We all have exactly the same amount of time it is just a matter of how we choose to use it

When does she need to be there for? Is she appropriately insured?

Surely you can spare one day from a busy schedule?

Private deliveries can be expensive for the skipper it it goes wrong.
2 fellows had to sell their houses i seem to remember, the boat was insured BUT the Ins Co went after these 2 fellows to recoup their losses

From the post on PBO the OP has done a 'Dylan' and fitted an outboard engine (with a back up smaller one) in place of the inboard.

I did a few deliveries back in the 90s and always carried personal liability insurance, but it was a condition of taking the job that the boat was fully insured by the owner. It was standard procedure at the time, not sure about now in a far more litigious society.

What's a 'Dylan', Bob or rabbit?
