Most people enjoy pottering about on their boats on the moorings or in a berth. Even those wealthy enough to "have a man to do it".
But there are some jobs that are a real pain.
I really don't enjoy scrubbing Gullshite from the cabin top and decks.

What's your most despised job that really has to be done?

Oh. Come on. The payment of dues is only like paying community charge or rates etc. It's a given.
Now, smelly stuff on boats is pretty awful.

Hidden wiring / fastenings ...

Boats have this terrible habit of the bit you want to replace / repair / work on is hidden away up in the toe-rail, some god-awful cramped place that a midget with pencil fingers can't even get at ...

I hate fault-finding wiring on a boat .... you can get at the ends ... that is at battery or at the light ......... but in-between UGH !!!!

Second is cleaning diesel or sump oil out of the bilges.

The drive back home after a great weekend on the water has got to be the worst job, especially when all your mates fall asleep so there's no one to chat too, to help stay awake yourself.

Unblocking heads....

From our cruise in Sweden this year.
Having (allegedly) been the cause of a blockage in the forrard heads on our friends 40 footer, it was up to me to fix it. Spent a morning in 30 degree heat dismantling unblocking & fixing the beast. At least we were at anchor.

3 days later, it's blocked again. Muggins here is the cause, so I get to do it all over again. (Personally, I blame a leaky seal).

I'm now an expert on Jabsco loos....Jeez, I don't even have a boat yet.

Seeings as you know about Jabscos and Scandinavia, could you just pop up to Rival Spirit in Alesund and give the bog a quick service?
