Someone has to do it

Telling a non sailor friend who has driven any distance to come for a sail that in fact we will not be sailing today due to, weather, mechanicals etc.

No matter how gentle I try to be, I always feel immense guilt about it, taking on the weather as my fault.

I do not often invite people for this reason. This weekend has been a case in point unfortunately.

Disposable nappies

Bung a couple below the sump and when ever they are 'full'....in the bin and an easy change. Costs naff all and job forever done! Pantie liners are almost as good, you just get a few strange looks when you have them by the toolbox, or should that be tool and box, or whoops where am I going ....................

Drawing the log to remove the weed, barnacles etc. that stop the wheel from turning. Actually I don't mind it too much it's Mrs. Cotillion who objects as it is her hand that covers the hole while I clean and make sure the paddle is spinning freely before replacing. This always creates the most spectacular fountain that guarantees her entry for the 'Miss wet tee-shirt' competition and gives rise for her to question my parentage.
