Hi,
I'm looking to cruise the channel at the end of August for the first time since new regulations came in. Has anything impacted the channel Islands? My plan is Solent - Alderney - Sark - Cherbourg. Understand I'll need to go through procedures for Cherbourg and submit an sPCR, but just wondered about arrivals into Alderney?

Kind regards,

Technically I think you should fly the Q flag until you’ve passed customs (i.e. filled out the form). Also you don’t actually need a passport to enter the CI’s as they’re part of the British Isles.

We're in Guernsey at the moment, arrived at Alderney a few days ago.

Enter the harbour flying a courtesy flag and a Q flag.
Pickup one of the yellow visitors moorings, or drop the hook
Call the water taxi on VHF 73 or take your tender ashore
Fill in the customs form that's in a box at the top of the jetty. Put the top copy in the yellow box.
Pay for the mooring at the Harbour office
All done :)

If you decide to go to St Peters Port first it's even easier, the harbour masters on the boats that guide you to your berth give you a welcome pack containing the form as you enter the harbour :)
