Smiths 2000 series instruments

I've just got my hands on a Smiths Industries 2000 Series log system - unfortunately it came without any instructions. It looks pretty straightforward (connections are clearly labelled) but the sytem includes a circuit board that looks as if it is meant to integrate with wind transducers. I'm curious to know if anyone out there has this system and could provide me with a copy of the instruction manual (costs met by me of course). Are the wind transducers still available?

I probably have the same instrument, and fortunately I have an installation guide for it. Can make a photocopy and mail it to you, if you like!
Do you by any changce know where I can find a new windspeed tranducer for this? ("the rotating one in the masthead"). Seems like Smiths Industries is out of business???????

just binned mine as it hasn't worked properly in the last seven years!! currently sailing without any instruments, strip of TESCO carrier bag or something similar is all i have at present tied to the backstay and one on each shroud.........keith
