Are you looking for a rigid hull? If so then aluminium is the best weight wise - we have an AB which is good quality but not cheap. Highfiled also produce pretty good quality aluminium hulled RIBs.

If rigid hull isn’t what you after and weight is a key issue then worth looking at the 3D superlight range. We inherited one with our Hardy and whist one chamber has developed a bit of an air leak three years on I have been impressed with it overall. It is 2.7m ish but folds into a pack with shoulder straps so you can carry on your back like a Bergen. They reckon they are half the weight of a standard dinghy.

We had a 2.7m aluminium RIB but too heavy to haul up onto the coach roof, after much research we bought a 2.5m sib with inflatable floor. It's lighter than the RIB, easier to manage, stable and goes well with our 2.5hp four stroke. I think it's rated to 6HP so would probably get airborne!

My AB8 (2.56m) is 37kgs. They are quite expensive but they are well built.

A friend of mine has a Zodiac Cadet R270, which is pretty neat too and at a lower price point.

It depends on what your priorities are.
