Simrad DGPS CE32 Plotter/GPS/Echo problem

I hope someone can help me with this unit.The problem is that it has frozen in the on position and can only be turned off at the main switchboard but when on I cannot access any of the menu.The manual says to disconnect the power and reconnect but after many attempts nothing has changed.Please can anyone offer any advice.

sounds like you might have to take it back, all I can suggest is you give Simrad a call.

Had another thought - take our the data card if theres one in there as that can sometimes cause problems

Try giving it a master reset.

Turn off the power and then hold the power and clr buttons in and power on again while holding the buttons down. When the Simrad splash page shows then you can let go the buttons.

This will clear out everything (routes etc) but shpuld fix the lockup.

If it is stillnot responding, then the keypad ribbon cable may have come adrift inside, if in doubt get a service technician to do this for you.
