If I use some of this one day will the rest be ok to use in say 3 weeks time.
I'm asking as I'm not sure how it reacts compared to normal silicon.

It does go off after opening, but three weeks should be ok.

To reseal it, I generally take the nozzle off, put a double layer of foil over the threaded end of the cartridge, then screw the nozzle back on over it. I have a big bag of nozzles (you can buy them separately for not very much) and fit a new one next time.

Put a screw in the nozzle and as said above, I put a bit of polythene between the cartridge and nozzle screwed back on.

Moisture is what sets off Sikaflex so keep it dry. Once it cures in the nozzle, just use a screwdriver to pull it out, quite easy, no need to buy spares. I have used tubes over a couple of years like this.

Once the head cures, the rest of the tube is still useable but requires a bit of work to play with it (again a screwdriver).

Or put it in the fridge at home
Awww! if you got kids, they might think it's a tube of sailor's sauce. That might make their boxing day sanies a real meal deal, followed by a trip to the emergency dentist to unstick or seal your teeth!

Real answer, read about the best adhesives that can also be used a sealants, as they always supply caps that work.
SABATACK 750 XL (White, Black or Mahogany), if you need to stick to metals including alloy and stainless, OR Evo Sticks Like Sh1t (Clear or white only) adhesive. Both a far better than SickeyFlex in adhesion terms and much nicer for the skin if you don't use gloves, like wot I don't.

Failing that, keep in a cold area out of reach of fingerpokers, with some duct tape around the top end if it's an El cheapo tube.
