Compared to previous years there are not many comments ,or reports on new boats only sub 7 metre.

Highlight of SIBS for me was a trip on this.

MGB 81 was built by the British Powerboat Company in 1942.
Fitted with three FPT C13 825hp engines, she has a top speed in excess of 35kts.
It was noted that the interior was not particularly light or airy, with limited glazing and no portholes whatsoever.
Accommodation is very basic for a 71ft boat, with a small heads space and no shower.

Additional equipment not normally found on a boat of this size includes a two-pound semi-automatic pom-pom, twin 20mm Oerlikons and 2 twin 0.303” Lewis machine guns.
The boat displayed at the show also has the optional 500lb depth charges fitted.

Yes you did a good job of showing ribs etc , but not many words on larger boats.

I tend not to look at those. They are getting far too big and far too expensive in my view. I don't tend to look at anything if I cant afford to buy it with the cash I have

I thought the Archipelago 47 was really interesting and different. The Duchy Sport was a new take on a classic look. Dale 37 looked lovely. On a separate note I was hoping to buy a new jacket but there were no real chandleries there!

I’m surprised that SIBS interested you at all then.

Wrong as usual. We enjoyed it very much and the week we had in the area. And huge amounts in my price range thanks. Not sure I could afford that chip on your shoulder though
