• SWMBO went 11/9 1000hrs – to close
• Not as busy as expected – although a good turn out
• Good presentation by Sealine MD at F46 launch.
• Actually the boat is much much nicer than in the pix we have seen – although the MBY pix are good.
• The side decks have a good scrubber arrangement that also deals with fuel overflow – thus saving the teak.
• Excellent design stuff – overhead clear screens work well – agree with jfm on the teak deck surround treatment but an easy fix
• F/B is better than I thought – the backrests will provide some ‘shelter’- dodgers are better thou.
• Sealine have added two extra sets of stern cleats each side aft – I will do pix later..
• Poor main mast light situ ahead of helm is an issue easily resolved by sitting same under the anchor light where it should be.
• The cockpit canvas covers all stow in the cockpit deckhead – fab arrangement.
• There is tons of stowage in the dinette area.
• Great down lights in the bimini frame – the wiring to these is a bit rough but super idea.
• All in all a good looking spacious boat at £10K / ft. net????
The anchor locker is huge as the anchor sits a girder in thye bow 'bill' loads of spce under this for fenders O/B etc
• Anacasta say that they are selling loads of brokerage boats – best June ever is seems
• I hear separately that most marinas have loads of space as Euro buyers are picking up boats and moving them overseas – be interesting to see what the UK marinas try to charge next year.
• Load of spec on VAT rate after the 15% finishes
• The Az 38 had shafts and joystick which is claimed works a treat with Bow thruster and even better with stern thrusters too
• Princess have similar that is also reported to be good as engines can be controlled at Troll revs.
• Lamberti – well the girl that showed me around showed be a locker in the Owners suite that housed a safe and a door that lead to the outer skin space – useful to hide from Pirates she says. A mate who went today was told the space was useful to stow immigrants when coming back to Uk. Interesting marketing…..
• Went on a couple of sail boats as thinking of a move to dark side – but these are MOBO prices nearly…
• I reckon RIBs etc can be had of less money than before
• Many Euro based stuff have ForEx deals from the manufacturer – and boat show deals so like for like with 12 months ago for gensets etc etc .
• As others have said all the action is on the water side of the bridge from main entrance
• Finance Houses are rare
• I was told of some issues with the new upgrades on bow thrusters – see my earlier post on this - a couple of boats have encountered total blade wipe-out with striking solids….
• Liked both new Princess boats – but I would…..
• Going again tomorrow to finish off – looking forward to the big S/S with side decks O/B
