My once perfect cabin floorboards (ply with inlaid stripes) are now scruffy as a result of boatyard grit from big boots being ground in to them over the close season. Any suggestions?
I just fit cheap rubber backed carpeting over the sole and this works fine. It will need replacing every 2 or 3 years as it does tend to get dirty from boots etc. but it is easy to replace. I go to a carpet remnants shop near Ipswich(actually Lesley does - she has better colour sense...) and you can change the colour and design when it gets too dirty & the old carpet goes on the allotment for "no dig" gardening.
