Hello

Does anyone know the name of the foam material Sam Holmes uses to cover his cockpit?
It would be good if someone has a link to something similar or even a name.

you can see it here, about 3:20:

Thanks,
Joe

I don't think it is Treadmaster, Sam's looks thicker and the pattern looks bigger. All depends where & how you're using your boat but Treadmaster isn't nice to sit on and is harsh on bare feet...

I agree it's not a treadmaster pattern. It looks more like that rubber flooring they use on garage and warehouse floors.

Agree. That is not Treadmaster. Probably an industrial floor covering and maybe not non slip in the way that Treadmaster is.

Just to add that 'smooth' pattern treadmaster is comfortable for sitting/kneeling. We did our cockpit seats in it about 10-12 years ago and although the pattern is not very pronounced it is surprisingly non-slip. I'd be happy using it out on deck. Aesthetically, I find it much more appealing than the ubiquitous diamond pattern.

I also vote for the stuff sold as garage/gym flooring - Screwfix also sell a version to go under washing machines etc. and some recovery mechanics I’ve seen use it as an emergency ‘creeper’/mat.
