Saltire as ensign

.
I ordered one from MrFlag.com - not cheap but good quality and the correct colour. Here's a MrFlag saltire flying from a local boat:

Looks braw eh? I'll post a picture of Fairwinds wearing hers when I get one.

Anyone else who flies the Saltire, why not post a pic here?

Full respect.

A teeny-weeny note of etiquette. That is, of course, the appropriate flag to fly while in waters around Lowland Scotland. While In Highland Scotland and waters around Skye, an alternative flag might be for the Lord of The Isles.

Also I take it the Aussies arn't independent as they fly the UJ in the corner of their flag

The Aussies I have met in the Caribbean more often flew this one...

Perhaps those Scots of a pugnacious disposition (is there any other sort?) could come up with their ow, a haggis perhaps?

Come on Scotland, get voting on independence; you've no idea how many of us English support it.

Cameron would do well to call Salmond's bluff and call a referendum himself in Scotland. The people of Scotland will vote 'no' as most (even of SNP voters) are apparently opposed.

Balllox, the one thing that would guarantee it would be if some English **** tried to interfere in the process, so it depends on whether 'Call Me Dave' is really a Unionist or just bluffing as usual. Look at the bloody fight the English put up trying to stop Irish self determination, are their politicians now any wiser than LLoyd George and Churchill.

There is a Scots red ensign:

This was flown by the Royal Scots Navy (or Old Scots Navy), which vanished with the Act of Union in 1707. I've never seen a boat flying this however, whereas lots of Scots boats fly the Saltire as an ensign.

We use this Ensign most of the time and have seen lots of others do so. Occasionally we fly the red ensign but more and more Mrs. Dougie chooses the saltire design.

My Daughter bought it from Jimmy Greene I think when we were renewing a rather faded red duster.
