There was recent crime against us , we put boxes of half dozen eggs at the entrance , you put the £1 in a box . Someone never paid . They must berth at Salties and can’t afford the eggs. Or a city dweller thinking it’s a food bank.

Yep, some people have a very skewed understanding and think that pricing should be fair - or directly comparable between different locations / situations. Capitalism doesn't work like that - you charge as much as the market will bear.Not only would I not afford to pay that, I couldn't afford to pay that. Other things I would like and can't afford:
A Bentley
First class air travel
A Benetti
A Patek Phillipe watch
A suite at the Savoy
A holiday home in Palma
But I don't accuse those selling/renting them of 'taking the piss' just because I can't afford them because clearly there are people who can and do.
Now answer my question please - you've moved to the city, no longer need your car and decide to get a pushbike instead. Your car is worth (say) about £20,000, the bike you are buying is £500. Would you sell your car for £500 as that is all you need, or for as much as you can get?

And what's really amusing is that those self same people who believe that things should be rented or sold to them for below market value so that they can afford it are the same ones who want as much as they can get when they part exchange their car or sell their house. Full market value in other words! And then get upset when it's pointed out to them.

Hopefully you can at least now understand that wanting the most you can get for something is pretty normal behaviour, rather than 'taking the pizz', even for you.

Whether or not it's philosophically "fine" depends upon one's view of the way the world should work, but under our version of capitalism, unless there is some pricing cap or competition regulation on a particular good or service, the vendor can put any price they like on an item - if they're wise, the price will be targeted to achieve the maximum return.
These days, making a huge profit on the reselling of concert tickets tends to be difficult as resale is generally banned.
Obviously, in many areas competition keeps things vaguely under control. Oasis tickets are a bit of an exception as there's huge demand and no competition - but seeing 'em is hardly a survival matter.

Ari , I think the difference with us I bought my boat to use and visit destinations, where you seem happy to pay top end just to mention sandbanks, Bentley savoy, I take you wear a cravats as well .

With a non essential purchase, like oasis tickets, don't you simply decide how much money (and effort) a particular event or thing is worth to you?
I can't imagine bragging about what I've paid for anything - I might tell you as a simple matter of fact if you asked. Surely the enjoyment comes from the thing itself, not the bragging rights?
