A sailor has come forward to claim a luxury boat that has been floating in a Swedish harbor for at least two years, after he apparently forgot all about it. He says he intended to sell the vessel in 2012 and was under the impression that he had. The keys were tied to the railings for all to see.

What's the real story, do you think? Forgetful millionaire, couldn't be bothered, couldn't sell, insurance scam, or... ?

Sailorman will be along soon to say that this has already been posted:

:ambivalence:

Oops, he'd be right - I did search for keywords before posting but didn't find "forgot", "sweden", etc. :nonchalance:

That said, my question is more about whether there's a story behind the story... when you can't sell your boat, surely you don't just leave it with keys attached to the railings for 2 years?

Don't worry about it, it IS allowed but some people think that they just HAVE to tell you :)
