Sailing to France report

Just wanted to share with this forum that I recently sailed to France, on check in I took all paperwork to the marina office, they didn't take anything out of the folder to check, not even passports let alone stamp them! Maybe I was lucky but I get the impression they are pleased to see uk flagged vessels visiting.

Puzzled by what you say! Which port was this? Not aware of any French ‘port of entry’ where Marina staff would process your entry into Schengen. You are supposed to go to the port police office!

Slightly different circumstances, we arrived mob handed, but if no crew was jumping ship, their boat, in France, we were excused any formality and regarded as in transit! Crew swaps had to go and get docs done in next major town.
