I'm pretty sure sailing while on smack is worse than sailing tiddlySo, the boats not called Temperance. I was looking forward to watching some old sailing smack tacking up a backwater.
Of course it doesn’t. A great day on the water is rarely made worse by some alcohol afterwards I find. Though likewise, it’s not obligatory.A great day on the water doesn't need alcohol to help it along
Och, c’moan - you’re only smoking it.I'm pretty sure sailing while on smack is worse than sailing tiddly![]()
The day after might be less fun though, especially if there's a quartering seaOf course it doesn’t. A great day on the water is rarely made worse by some alcohol afterwards I find. Though likewise, it’s not obligatory.
If you’ve had a lot, I expect so. For me personally, I wouldn’t be comfortable on board having drunk enough for a hangover. On the plus side, a quartering sea is no bother on a fast multi, but you’d want your wits about you. The game is how long can you surf on one wave, and how fast can you go.The day after might be less fun though, especially if there's a quartering sea![]()
AFAICT having a lot is the general gist...If you’ve had a lot, I expect so. For me personally, I wouldn’t be comfortable on board having drunk enough for a hangover. Maybe a channel about abstaining from marinas. Or tying people up?AFAICT having a lot is the general gist...
I only have anything to drink if we're tied up in a marina, and even then I can't be doing with a hangover anymore so I'm pretty much in the temperance camp. Plus the heave on the beam reach home and swells off Selsey/Eastborough are bad enough without starting off feeling green around the gills.
