I stupidly left a calor bottle on the carpet in my forward cabin. Guess what?. Anybody suggest any good stuff to remove my stain?.

Having doen the same silly thing .... yes - a Carpet tile in matching or contrasting colour to cover it !!!

I tried all sorts ..... SWMBO tried all her ideas .... removed a bit - but it doesn't come out ... one thing that removed a fair bit is the foaming car carpet cleaner you can buy in Petrol Stations / Car acc shops etc.

But in the end - we put a carpet tile down ... as a "throw-rug"
It was actually the one we keep for top of the engine box to step into cabin ...

Absolutely. Even has the requisite aprobation from the poster.

Of course being a non-gardener he failed to read your posted link.
Actually most [--word removed--] on here never follow the links. Don't know why we bother.

(I'm sure you used to be able to say twats on here before?) /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

What a snide and insulting post!. Whats it got to do with you?. Totally uncalled for. Were you ever taught manners?. I did thank all . This included Colin. I could comment more but I will leave it at that.

Lakesailored With Colmce Variation(defintion for future reference)

To be fully "lakesailored" on the ybw forums, a poster asks a question and is answered by several in turn as is normal, but then the original poster thanks by name one of the *later* posters who gave the same answer as the first poster with that same correct (or identical) answer.

In this example, the original poster said "looks like angus has the answer" even though Colmce gave the same answer/link to Stain Devils in his own (earlier) reply. So far, a simple yet "complete" Lakesailoring.

Then however, Colmce noticed the Lakesailoring manoeuvre and remarked upon it. Commiserations came from LS himself, whereupon the original poster gave him a good kicking.

Thus, for future reference, any Lakesailoring which then proceeds to attract a good kicking or other verbal abuse from the original poster (aimed at either the lakesailored poster or to others discussing with the same about being lakesailored) is to be known as being "Lakesailored with Colmce Variation".

Similar words to the same effect (eg Lakesailor-Colmce'd ) are also acceptable.

Marvellous...../forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm going to try very hard to LS with ColmCE variant as often as possible....

Thankyou for this further interesting and useful diversion from the disgraceful act of 'working'....

Re: Lakesailored With Colmce Variation(defintion for future reference)

It may have looked like I was giving the same answer as was previously posted. That was not the intention. I was just suggesting a couple of more easily reachable suppliers.

Re: Lakesailored With Colmce Variation(defintion for future reference)

Oh, it's fine by me (and others i think) to give the same answer - no problem at all.

Actually, the slightly-rubbish forum software sometimes forces this situatiion. A question is posed and then someone gives an answer. Often lots of responses so no time to read them before posting your own. But in "threaded mode", the first response goes further down the list, whereas the mopst recent reponse is right up there next to the original post.

So, not to worry, all part of life's rusty carpet er I mean rich tapestry...
