??

sorry - neither of the links works.

the challenge business have been running a tenerife-barbados rowing race for a while now. we met one of the boats in mid-atlantic, we calculated their rate of progress was almost exactly equal to the speed of the current! and what a strange bunch, the guy on watch didn't bother to wake his partner when we pulled alongside, refused an offer of cold beer and couldn't wait for us to leave despite having been at sea for 6 weeks with another 5 to go.

"Sometimes we also row.."

Scottish Islands Peaks Race - running mandatory, rowing allowed. Did 17 continuous flat calm miles one year (at a, literally, blistering 2 knots).

They're certainly proper blades off an eight or a coxed four. Ah, happy memories!
