Rodman 1120

Have a word with Duncan. He's got his eye on the Rodman range.

yep it was me not Happy..../forums/images/icons/smile.gif

my ';research' into the 1120 highlighted the following -
(1) anecdotal evidence that delivery skippers really rated them in heavy weather
(2) Rodman have difficulty shifting them in the UK because few people are happy with the accomadation capability given it's 37ft berthing costs. These are of course the flipside to a lack of compromise on hull form, cockpit and walkround deck. You don't get a lot more than you do in many of the 9m Sportfisher craft but what you get works better.
I haven't sea trialled one but I still believe it would be my purchase if a spare 100k arrived in my boating account!

Hope this helps

Thanks Duncan. Thats about were I got to. The saloon is smaller than my P315 and they have forced in a second cabin so it does feel a bit cramped. However outside is a different story with a huge uncluttered cockpit, big walkarounds and seriously usable space on the foredeck.

I suppose it's a question of style and my only worry is whether there will be sufficient take up of larger 'fast fishers' in general in the UK.

I did a sea trial in the 1250 and it was sensational - ploughing straight through the Red Funnel wash at close quarters without a blink. I understand the 1120 is similar. You pay for the fishing style in accommodation but you get great sea-keeping.

Decisions, decisions.....
