Does anyone else find it odd that you can’t renew a subscription online?
I remember commenting on this several years ago to them since which they have made no progress.
I accept that most supporters are us older folk but eventually they have to catch up. Having to post things off or call them is less convenient and eventually will result in lost income.

I think their preference is direct debit so "renewal" isn't usually necessary you just cancel when you see their annual report and get to the page labelled "hoard" if you decide a billion is sufficient. They're also quite fond of writing themselves into wills...

:ROFLMAO: Have you considered a career writing for the tabloids?
That was straight out of their marketing. Apparently quite a bit of their funds are tied to specific lifeboat stations because someones husband sailed out of Falmouth/Portland/Solent and so they wanted to fund a new lifeboat at that station.
I have the greatest respect for their marketing engine, it's one of the most successful charities after cancer research. The way they turn a day trip into rescue stats is also to be admired!

My 'subscription' is automatically renewed by them every year. They also increase my subscription every year which I don't particularly like. They do it because they are the RNLI and they can get away with it. I don't mind supporting them of course but I'm no fan of the marketing machine that hides behind the brave volunteers.

That's with your consent, surely?

All with your consent, surely? If you want to pay a fixed sum every year, just do that. Not sure what you're complaining about.
