Watching it right now. Not quite the same since I googled Dulcibella and found it was a lifeboat modified to look right for filming
I saw it for the first time on youtube.I think there is room for a remake the whole boat bit especially the interiors is all too clean and the charachters look like they have had a shower in the last week, totally unrealistic!

+1. Personally I'd love to see a remake as a drama serial, giving time for character and plot development. If I have a huge lottery win, I'd even make it myself. Fwiw, I only really like the opening credits ad the row to Memmert in the movie.
Does anyone know what's become of the Dulcibella made for the movie?
a tardis interior

Damn. Busy wallpapering. CD available online, anyway.
I cannot tell you what happened to the replica.
The original ended up in Ireland.
I remember seeing a photograph of it in black and white ( without the mast) being craned.
From memory, circa 1976 - 78.
Asgard was Childers boat. The Riddle was screened on the aniversary of his hanging in 1929. Enjoyed his biography, a real 20th century buccaneer.
