Replacing the rigging this winter and I’m looking at how to rethread the new forestay through the foil.
The boat is a SO 342, 1999 with a Facnor roller. The new forestay will be supplied with a swaged eye at the top and unfinished at the bottom to use a compression eye.
This is the installation instructions. One main question is that the current set up has a fixed length forestay with two swaged eyes, and I don’t think the eye will fit through the foil whereas the Facnor site shows a turnbuckle end. This would need to be a very short turnbuckle which I’m not sure would fit the gap.
So has anyone done this and got any advise. Any help appreciated.
Thanks
