Removing the radar tower

I now have to remove (fold over) the radar tower of a Princess 385. I am told it is just one big bolt on each side and should fold over and lay flat down. This seems to assume that their is enough slack in the wiring. I shall be doing this this weekend - has anyone got any tips? Has anyone done it before?
Any help appreciated.

This is a normal procedure for negotiating low bridges and the like - you should have no problem. Just make sure you lower it gently.
