Has anyone adopted any form of remote monitoring and control for their boats at all?

Specifically I'd like to be able to check on our boat from home and also control heating, both in the engine room and main cabin if the temperatures drop.

I believe the marina has reasonable WiFi, so curious to know what the options are.

Thank you for any help!

I've been using a dehumidifier during the latter part of the winter here. I bought a wifi-enabled model and used an old phone as a hotspot to connect so I can monitor and control from anywhere. Unfortunately the marina wifi where I am seems to disconnect at least once per day and need re-authorisation via a web page so no good for remote monitoring. The phone data only costs me $4 per month so not a problem.
You can get wifi-enabled smart plugs that would enable remote control of a "dumb" heater, but you'd need a separate thermometer if you wanted to monitor

I'll be making do with a simple 13A plug-in thermostat, a 350W heater under the engine sump and a greenhouse max-min thermometer for fine tuning of the thermostat. I get down to the boat most weekends and it only takes around 15 minutes for the Planar heater to get the cabins from bloody cold to comfortable and to drive out any condensation.
